Anker’s latest MagSafe charging stand just hit the scene earlier this spring, arriving just in time to pair perfectly with the new iPhone 14 StandBy mode coming to iOS 17. Capable of replenishing Apple’s entire kit , our latest Tested with 9to5Toys review is investigating whether its cheaper price means it’s actually worth a spot on your nightstand.

Practice with Anker’s 15W Triangular MagSafe Charger
Anker launched its first full-featured 15W MagSafe charger earlier this year, only to follow it up with a cheaper alternative. Ditching the cubic form factor of the original one, the company is still channeling those geometric vibes for the second of its charging stations that come with support for Apple’s entire magnetic power standard.
Featuring a triangular design, the new Anker 15W MagSafe charger packs a 3-in-1 structure created to power the entire Apple kit. A notable addition to your desk or bedside table, there’s the main 15W MagSafe pad that makes it perfect for StandBy, as well as an AirPods dock with 5W speeds and much of the same Apple Watch output alongside. Not to mention, it includes everything you need in the box to make sure the $140 price tag fully covers your charging setup.
Here’s a closer look at the spec sheet:
- Make charging a breeze and enjoy 15W high-speed charging every time, thanks to the official MagSafe module. Charge an iPhone 14 Pro Max to 50% in just 47 minutes.
- All-in-one wireless charging station for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods.
- Comfortably read texts or watch videos while charging your phone in portrait or landscape mode.
- Compact and discreet, the Anker 737 MagGo Charger takes up very little space on your table or in your bag.
I’ve been using Anker’s latest 3-in-1 charging setup for the past few weeks and it’s definitely warranted its place on my nightstand. There are a few caveats to this, but if you’re looking for that final verdict without reading all of my deeper thoughts, this definitely fits the bill. acquire category. It won’t be for everyone, but it certainly offers most of the features iPhone 14 owners would want, at a lower price than other models on the market.
The big take away from Anker’s triangular 15W MagSafe charger is that it’s a cheaper alternative to the brand’s flagship charger. Despite this, you’re still not skimping on too many features, with the most obvious difference being a different design. There’s the same 15W magnetic pad and a 5W AirPods dock, albeit packed into a noticeably larger footprint. One of the only real downgrades is that there’s only a standard Apple Watch charger on board, so all Series 8 and Ultra users won’t be able to take full advantage of the wearables’ fast-charging technology.
Another notable trade-off is that the place for your true wireless earbuds will only fit some of the fanciest buds on the market. The design is very clearly AirPods-focused, with some larger alternatives not fitting into the hole in the triangular cutout in the center of the charger. So if you’re rocking another pair of buds that don’t have a slim charging case, it might be worth going with the slightly more premium Anker model.
All in all, Ankers’ newest 15W MagSafe charger fits right in the lineup. It won’t be the most premium solution out there and Anker knows that. That’s the point! If you want the best the company sells, its Cube MagSafe charger is a better bet, let alone ditch the Anker brand period in favor of Belkin’s all-time popular solution.
But if you’re just looking for a solid 15W MagSafe stand that can also power up your other Apple gadgets, it’s worth a look. It won’t replace Anker’s original 15W model on my nightstand, but it’s arguably the next best thing. It’s an easy recommendation now that iOS 17 will debut the new StandBy feature this fall. That alone makes this a perfect option for making sure your setup is ready to take advantage of smart display mode come September.
Then there’s the price. Its usual $140 MSRP went on sale as of late $117, making this one of the more affordable options available from both Anker and another brand. By comparison, the Cube version retails for an MSRP of $150 and can often be found lying around $130. Whether it’s worth taking home these price differences with the cheapest option or simply splurging on the full one is up to you, but saving a few extra bucks doesn’t mean you’ll sacrifice for a worthwhile desk upgrade.
